Eastman & Smith’s Adam Nightingale Installed as President of Toledo Bar Association

Adam NightingaleEastman & Smith is pleased to announce that member Adam S. Nightingale was installed as 123rd president of the Toledo Bar Association (TBA). He was sworn in at the TBA’s Annual Meeting & Luncheon on June 4, by the Honorable Jack Zouhary and will serve a one-year term serving the organization’s more than 1,500 members.

“We are so proud of Adam’s dedication and commitment to the legal community in Toledo,” said Fadi V. Nahhas, chair of the Firm’s Executive Committee. “He continues a well-established track record of lawyers in our Firm and demonstrates his devotion to the improvement of our profession and the well-being of the community at large.  We are so glad he is part of Eastman & Smith and our white collar crime practice.”  Mr. Nightingale is the eighth Eastman & Smith attorney to serve as TBA president.

The TBA works “to advance the highest standards of excellence for the legal profession, promote the rule of law, facilitate equal access to justice [while] fostering a diverse and inclusive legal community.” Mr. Nightingale previously served on the TBA’s board of directors, most recently as first vice president, and is a past president of the Toledo Junior Bar Association. He is also a member of the Ohio State Bar Association’s House of Delegates, a fellow of the Ohio State Bar Foundation and past president of the University of Toledo College of Law Alumni Affiliate.

Mr. Nightingale is a member of Eastman & Smith’s White Collar Crime and Investigations group and focuses on providing legal representation and crisis management for companies, health care/medical providers, and other individuals subject to government investigations and prosecutions. He also represents businesses and individuals in complex business and commercial litigation matters, and defends attorneys in professional-liability matters.

In 2023, Mr. Nightingale was honored as a General Litigation Trailblazer by the National Law Journal, a recognition given to professionals working as agents of change in their practices.  Additionally, The Best Lawyers in America® has listed Mr. Nightingale since 2021 and Ohio Super Lawyers since 2020. Mr. Nightingale received his J.D. from the University of Toledo College of Law and his B.A. from The Ohio State University.
