Profile

A graduate of the Ohio State University law school, Trent A. McCutcheon is an associate in the Business Law, Real Estate Law and White Collar Crime and Investigations Practice Groups.

Prior to earning his law degree, Mr. McCutcheon obtained a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Marshall University.  While earning his degrees, Mr. McCutcheon spent two terms studying abroad.  First, as an undergrad at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, then while in law school, at the University of Oxford, both in the United Kingdom.  His legal coursework included comparative corporate law and EU law.  Also during law school Mr. McCutcheon was a staff editor of the Ohio State Business Law Journal, externed at the US bankruptcy court and interned with the Southeastern Ohio Legal Services and the Ohio Criminal Sentencing Commission.

Mr. McCutcheon gained experience in several industries both during his educational career and after.  His non-legal work experience encompasses roles at several golf courses, a delivery company as a real estate development manager, a professional services firm serving the gaming industry as well as a services firm assisting with Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) applications.    This experience in business Mr. McCutcheon applies when working for legal clients.

As you may imagine, being a former employee of golf courses means Mr. McCutcheon enjoys the game.  He also likes to travel, which is a good pastime for a mountain biker who lives in the flat land of Northwest Ohio.
