Representing a broad and diverse range of clients encompassing individuals, professional practices, and small and large businesses, member Jared J. Lefevre assists clients with successful navigation through complex and emotionally difficult cases.  Cases include closely held company disputes, non-compete and trade secrets, professional liability matters and probate litigation.

To effectively assist clients and third parties in arriving at efficient resolutions of their disputes, Mr. Lefevre obtained a mediation skills training certificate from Northwestern University's School of Professional Studies. Mr. Lefevre is also a Consumer Arbitration panel arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association.

Mr. Lefevre is admitted to practice in Ohio, Michigan, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio and the Eastern District of Michigan, U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States.  He is listed in Best Lawyers in America® for Commercial Litigation and currently heads the Firm’s litigation practice groups.

Mr. Lefevre currently serves on the Governing Board of the Educational Service Center Lake Erie West, the Board of the Stranahan Theater and the Executive Committee of the Toledo Junior Bar Association. He is a member of the United Way of Greater Toledo’s Emerging Leader affinity group.

Peters Broadcast Eng., Inc. v. 24 Capital, LLC: Case No. 21-3849, U.S. Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit.  Affirmed dismissal of Racketeer Influenced and Corruption (RICO) complaint against merchant cash advance company and identified Circuit split.

DeVries Dairy, L.L.C. v. White Eagle Coop. Assn., Inc.:  Case No. 2011-1995, Supreme Court of Ohio.  Held aiding and abetting breach of fiduciary duty is not a cause of action in Ohio.

Keba v. Bowling Green State Univ.:  Case No. 22AP-226, Court of Appeals of Ohio, Tenth Appellate District.  Reversed certification of class action against public university relating to COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Safadi & Assoc., Inc. v. McColley:  Case No. L-22-1182, Court of Appeals of Ohio, Sixth Appellate District.  Affirmed trial court judgment dismissing all claims against nurse practitioner for alleged violation of noncompete after combined preliminary injunction hearing and trial on the merits.

STE Investments, LLC v. Macprep, Ltd.:  Case No. OT-21-036, Court of Appeals of Ohio, Sixth Appellate District.  Affirmed dismissal of breach of fiduciary duty and related claims against owners of a condo-hotel.

Verhoff v. Verhoff:  Case No. 1-18-66, Court of Appeals of Ohio, Third Appellate District.  Affirmed jury trial verdict in dispute over ownership of inherited farmland.

Toledo Clinic, Inc. v. Martinez and Toledo Clinic, Inc. v. Felix: Case Nos. L-17-1293 and L-23-1037, Court of Appeals of Ohio, Sixth Appellate District.  Affirmed arbitration awards against former physicians of medical practice.

Four E, LLC v. bin qin: Case No. 2070278, Forum Alternative Dispute Resolution. Successfully represented complainant in a domain name dispute proceeding where domain name was held hostage.
